Fullstack Engineer

Full stack Developer | Java & JavaScript

£35,000 - £45,000

Fully remote after initial 3-month probation period.

We are looking for a full stack engineer (Java & JavaScript) to join this well-established Saas company in the South West. In this role you will join the cloud-focused development team, where you would have the opportunity to up-skill, and work in a tight knit team on exciting projects.

About you:

• Strong knowledge of Java (SE 11)
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of Git and Control Systems
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Linux (desired)
• Knowledge of React or Angular (desired)

What you'll be doing:

• Write extensible and maintainable code of a high standard.
• Development of cloud-based product hosted on the AmazonAWS platform.
  • Evolving the Java back-end
  • Writing unit/integration tests to ensure quality of deployed application code.
  • Improving code quality through use of static analysis tools.
  • Investigating potential areas for improvement with regards to the cloud infrastructure used
  • Improving front-end usability
• Monitoring of system for potential problems, investigation of root causes if any issues are found.
• Assistance in protection of cloud-based product by applying security best-practices.
• Assistance in writing of customer-facing product documentation.
