Flight Software Validation & Verification Engineer

Oxfordshire, England • £60000 - £75000 per annum • Permanent

Job: Flight Software Verification & Validation Engineer

Location: Oxfordshire, UK - Hybrid working structure (2 days per week) + every other Friday off!

Package: Up to £70,000 Gross Per Annum + Benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent

With a major goal of making a positive contribution to the growing problem of sustainability, this company has been at the forefront of the orbital debris collection missions! With a long-lasting history, spanning over a decade, they've been a key player in the sustainable space development through active removal of debris across satellite systems, as well as their end-of-life servicing to create a more sustainable space!

With an ambitious road map ahead; they're now looking to further scale their R&D team with an experienced verification & validation engineer to take reigns of their verification and validation projects focusing on the real-time flight software used within the onboard computers.

You would join the team and immediately make a mark through the flight software verification, validation and integration through collaboration with the wider embedded software teams to ensure seamless delivery of V&V plans for the specific software requirements.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Perform real-time software verification, validation and integration
  • Design and implement test environments
  • Support the development and delivery of V&V plans
  • Take part in all aspects of testing including non-functional and automated tests

Your role will have a primary focus on the V&V for satellite computers; where you will define solutions based on cross-functional team requirements, work with other system teams on their embedded software needs, performing the full end-to-end testing cycle.

Your Essential Skills:

  • 3+ Years of experience with Flight Software (Space / Aviation)
  • Proven experience in End-to-End Verification & Validation
  • Background in real-time software development (C/C++)
  • Ability to develop software test environments and QT based applications
